Is insurance included with the rental?

Yes, all rentals include insurance, but the renter is responsible for an excess determined by the vehicle type and driver’s age. Coverage excludes negligence, unauthorized use, or reckless driving.

What happens if there's an accident?

The renter must provide all required court and police documents to process any claims. Failure to do so results in full liability for repair costs and daily rental charges during repairs. Drivers under 25 may incur a 20% surcharge.

What is the minimum age requirement to rent a car?

Renters must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years.

Can I drive the car off-road?

No, vehicles are strictly for on-road use. Off-roading, drifting, or dangerous driving incurs a 2,000 AED fine and may result in the vehicle being remotely disabled.

Can someone else drive the car?

Only drivers approved by REM International are allowed to operate the vehicle. Unapproved drivers void the agreement and insurance coverage.

Is there a mileage limit?

Yes, rentals include a daily mileage limit of 250 kilometers. Additional kilometers are charged at 5 AED per kilometer.

Is smoking allowed in the car?

No, smoking is strictly prohibited. Violations incur a 1,000 AED fine.

Who is responsible for traffic fines?

Renters are responsible for all traffic fines, including speeding and parking violations. Speeds exceeding 140 km/h result in a 2,000 AED penalty after the first warning, with repeat offenses leading to contract termination.

Can I extend my rental period?

Yes, extensions are possible but must be arranged in advance. Current rates apply, and late fees may be incurred if not pre-approved.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance qualify for a full refund. Late cancellations incur a 50% fee, and no-shows are charged the full rental amount.
